For Anne and Luke, completing tax filings is an intimate process. Before, deciding which tax service provider to work with was difficult and unclear. Should you just use a cheap online software and do it yourself? Maybe hiring a local CPA who'll accept your paper documents is safer? Timber thinks about digital design and how to implement the best experience in tax services while ensuring an optimal tax situation for each client. We work to save you money and avoid paying unnecessary taxes, interest, and penalties. Traditional experience and trustworthiness with a forward looking approach – you can be sure the expertise honed in traditional practice is applied with the most up to date technology and tools.

Luke completed a BS in Accountancy, is a licensed CPA in Washington State. His accounting experience began spanning governmental, audit, small business operations and management, as well as taxation of individuals and entities. Always looking for ways to save clients time and money, Luke is ready to help ensure your tax time is as seamless and smooth as possible. He was the first full time accountant hired at and was charged with helping to grow and scale a team of bookkeepers for small businesses all over the US. His experience in systems optimization and remote work with a digital client experience have enabled him to connect and help clients wherever they are.

Anne Chan, EA

Anne started her career in 2007 working in the accounting industry for Morgan Stanley and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She quickly learned a more intimate setting at a smaller firm would be more fulfilling. Anne worked for Cornick Garber & Sandler LLP, a mid-size accounting firm in NYC, where she supervised and managed the firm’s individual tax practice. Working in a fast-paced firm has given her the insight and expertise critical to understanding a client's situation and offering insight to optimize accordingly. Her expertise lies in individual income tax preparation and planning for small business owners and high net worth individuals, with exposure to all business entity bookkeeping and return preparation. In 2016, Anne join Bench Accounting to work alongside Luke in their US tax team utilizing tools and software to eliminate a lot of inefficiencies found in traditional CPA practices. Her vision is focused on providing clients with resourceful information, empowering them to make the best decisions for their businesses, themselves, and their families. Anne is eager to continue to help shape the profession and the client experience to fit the modern professional's lifestyle.
